In the past two seasons, the Cats have pulled 3 major upsets that seemed to have sky rocketed the Kentucky football program.
In 2006, the victim was the Georgia Bulldogs losing at Commonwealth Stadium by a final score of 24-20.
In 2007, the Cats upset #9 (then ranked) Louisville Cardinals by a score of 40-34 and also #1 ranked LSU Tigers, who eventually won the BCS Title, in triple overtime at Commonwealth by a score of 43-37.
In 2008, my guess of a possible upset is, the Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia has the best team coming back in the nation, in my opinion.
The Cats are in a perfect position for a trap game against the Bulldogs. It is right in the middle of Georgia's meat of their SEC schedule. Here is the "murders row" of UGA's schedule...
- Oct. 25, @ LSU
- Nov. 1, Florida (in Jacksonville)
- Nov. 8, @ UK
- Nov. 15, @ Auburn
Now, I'm not calling this upset just yet. All I am saying is that, this game really jumps out at me to be a possible major upset in the SEC this upcoming season. It is going to be a very exciting SEC football season in 2008!

Same deal with the game at Alabama. They will have just played at Georgia the week before they see us, while we will play WKU the week before our game in Tuscaloosa. I'm guessing the Tide will be taking UK lightly.
