UK Basketball Recruiting: Who's Next?
Terrence Jones | Brandon Knight | Doron Lamb | C.J. Leslie | Josh Selby |
With the 2010 Spring signing period to start April 14 and run through May 19. Which 2010 recruit will be the next one to commit/sign with UK, to go along with UK signee Stacey Poole, commitment Enes Kanter? Will it be Brandon Knight, Josh Selby, Terrence Jones, C.J. Leslie, Doron Lamb or will it be a JUCO player that we're not aware of? One thing is for sure UK will need to reload and reload quick as there will be lots of playing time available for those that chose to commit to UK. Whoever signs with UK, one thing is for certain Coach Cal will have another young team in second season at UK, but will have 4 players that know the dribble-drive offense and should be able to help the incoming 2010 class. Will UK's 2010 class be ranked #1? No, but it should be a Top 5 class. So don't turn that dial and stay tuned for more exciting things to come..

The Internet and players/recruits
Lwcat
WT Administrator
Regardless of which UK site one looks at....or facebook.....there will unfortunately be some total jerks posting. It's important to recognize that some of these posts may even be from a non UK fan trying to hurt UK....however, there are too many negative posts attacking players/recruits on a host of UK sites. Obviously, all college sites have negative posters, but because of the incredible passion of UK fans.....we see far too much of player/recruit criticism.
Frankly, any players/recruits who are very sensitive to criticism should simply avoid these internet sites, but, unfortunately, most of these kids and their families look at a number of these sites. They need to remember that the percentage of the entire UK fanbase that has negative posts is incredibly small....less than 1% and these posts in no way reflect the feelings of an overwhelming majority of UK fans.
I'm sure coach Cal and his staff does his best to discourage UK players/recruits from looking at UK internet sites and if they must......please don't take the negative posts seriously or to heart as reflecting the attitudes of UK's great fan base.
Whether you are a player in sports, an entertainer, a politican or some celebrity.....there will very unfortunately.....at times...be very unfair and hateful comments. We have all seen some of the totally unfair hateful articles on coach Cal.
Unfortunately, this is the world we live in today....anonamous posters....or so called sports analysts..... can distort facts....out and out lie.....make very hateful comments.....about coaches, players or recruits. It is very sad to read the trash that is too often written!
