On how the team played …

“I think we played well. We came out with great energy and we just kept that going through the rest of the game. So, I think we did pretty good.”

On guards for Texas A&M not be able to play tonight …
“Coach told us before, we knew before we went out there that they had no one coming off the bench really. As guards, we knew we had to get out there and play.”

On this being the most complete game for the guards this season …
“Oh yeah. This is the best one we have played so far. Hopefully, we will be able to keep up the energy and continue with that throughout the season.”

On his game tonight defensively …

“I think I played pretty good. I think I could’ve rebounded way more. I didn’t have many rebounds. But other than that, I think I did pretty good.”

On defense for himself and the team …
“Defense is good. All week in practice we been focusing on extra talking in defense making sure one another feels comfortable because you know we need to trust and at this point if we want to go forward we are going to have to trust one another. So, I think talking makes some people feel more comfortable on defense. Once our defense go to the next level, we’ll be fine.”

Billy Kennedy said that if you can score, Kentucky can win it all …
“Thanks for the credit. Texas A&M is a great team, they have a good coach. We respected them coming into the game and know that our defense is going to be key and we came out on fire. You know, the crowd was into it, we were into it. We were just playing with incredible energy and I think that’s who we are. As a team, I think we are defensive team that our offense, you know, we just play.”

On coming out with a lot of energy …
"I think so. And you know, like I said, coach preaches to us that that’s who we are; a defensive team with a lot of energy and he doesn’t really focus on offense because we’ve got a lot of talent on the team. I think that’s who we are."

On how hard it is to play with that much energy …
“I mean it’s hard but our practices are harder than the game. A lot of people don’t know that. Our practices - I mean we aren’t trying to kill each other in scrimmages and everything like that, but our scrimmages are harder than the game. We get out here in the game and we think it’s just like practice and the other teams I guess they’re just not used to it."

On the 100-point game…

“It’s a lot of chemistry, our athleticism and our ability to run and get out. If you miss, and don’t get that rebound, it is more likely to turn into a lay-up. You just need an emphasis on running, getting out and transitioning so that’s what we have been doing.”

On the first five minutes of the game …
“Oh man it was extremely fun. We came out and talked about pressuring the ball so that is what we did. They turned the ball over 25 times and I think that’s a season high this year. It’s just something that we have been putting an emphasis on. We came out, pressured the ball and did what we were supposed to do. We got steals, got dunks and layups. Its always fun, especially against a team like that.”

On what Coach Calipari means when he says to be more disciplined on defense…
“Just no bad fouls like one of the fouls I picked up last game. No touch fouls or fouls we shouldn’t have. Not too much gambling, even though they turned the ball over and we got a lot of steals. That wasn’t from gambling; it was just from good defense. That’s what he’s talking about when he is talking about being disciplined on defense.”

On their level of confidence now…
“We are just building momentum. Every game right now matters; it’s league play so we are just coming out. We have been confident in ourselves and have been making shots. We have been doing well defensively these past two games. And we are putting the ball in the basket, so it’s nothing but just building confidence for March.”
